About This Treatment
Laser lipolysis is a method performed by a doctor in which laser energy is directed at fat tissue in specific areas of the body; it is planned with the aim of reducing the appearance of localised fat. It is generally considered for adults whose weight is broadly stable and who are looking for support with the appearance of fat deposits in particular areas. It does not replace diet and exercise and is not a weight control method. Suitability is determined through a doctor's assessment that takes into account health history, the treatment area and expectations.
On the day of the procedure, the planned area is prepared and the laser application is carried out in the form determined by the doctor; local anaesthesia is used if considered necessary. Temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness or a feeling of numbness may occur in the area afterwards; the doctor explains when you can return to daily activities and shares aftercare guidance and a follow-up appointment. Any change is assessed over time, and a balanced diet and regular physical activity are a decisive part of the process and of what comes after. Results vary from person to person.
