Skin Care
What does skin care cover, and who is it considered for?
Skin care is the umbrella term for care protocols focused on the surface of the skin, applied by a specialist and planned with a doctor's assessment. This category covers six protocols: classic facial care focused on cleansing and hydration; pigmentation care planned according to the type of spot; anti-ageing skin care aimed at the appearance of fine lines, loss of hydration and dullness; acne care for acne prone skin; vitamin skin care with serums containing vitamins and antioxidants; and Hydrafacial skin care, based on hydrodermabrasion. Skin care is a separate category from injection based medical aesthetic applications.
Classic and vitamin care
Classic facial care includes cleansing, toning, gentle exfoliation, pore cleansing, a mask and moisturising; vitamin skin care uses serums containing vitamins and antioxidants, aimed at a dull, tired appearance.
Pigmentation care
The type of pigmentation, such as sun spots, melasma or post acne marks, is identified through a doctor's assessment; the care is planned over several sessions and sun protection is part of the process.
Anti-ageing and acne care
Anti-ageing skin care is a protocol aimed at the appearance of fine lines, loss of hydration and dullness; acne care focuses on cleansing and caring for acne prone skin, while the doctor decides whether medical treatment is needed.
Hydrafacial skin care
This hydrodermabrasion based care combines cleansing and gentle exfoliation, vacuum pore cleansing, then serum and hydration steps; it usually requires no recovery time.
Which protocol is suitable depends on your skin type, the current condition of your skin, any medicines you take and your expectations. The steps and ingredients chosen differ for oily, dry, combination or sensitive skin; the type of pigmentation is identified through a doctor's assessment, and for inflamed or widespread acne the doctor decides whether medical treatment is needed. Regular sun protection is part of every protocol. This page is for information only and does not replace a diagnosis; results vary from person to person.

Process
Your skin care journey
Care begins with an assessment of your skin and continues with periodic follow-up. The stages below are for general information; the personalised plan is clarified after assessment.
- 1
Skin assessment
Your skin type, the current condition of your skin, the medicines you take and your expectations are assessed; the care plan is finalised with a doctor's assessment.
- 2
Personalised planning
A protocol suited to your skin type and the frequency of sessions are set; sun protection and basic care steps to follow at home are also added to the plan.
- 3
Care session
The selected protocol is applied by a specialist in a hygienic environment; the steps may be adapted to the condition of your skin on the day.
- 4
Follow-up and sun protection
Aftercare recommendations are shared and the process is monitored through periodic sessions; regular sun protection is part of the process, and results vary from person to person.
